ABOUT THE MORRIS-SUSSEX HOCKEY REPORT

The Morris-Sussex Hockey Report was founded in November of 2018 by Mike Gurnis, who previously covered high school ice hockey throughout the state of New Jersey for NJ.com and The Star-Ledger from 2014-17. Mike graduated from St. John's University in 2012 with a degree in Journalism, and always had a goal of being a sports writer. During his time with NJ.com and the Star-Ledger, he helped with statewide beat coverage of high school field hockey, girls lacrosse, and boys volleyball. A die-hard fan of the New Jersey Devils, Mike has had a life-long passion for hockey, and will bring that passion to covering local high school hockey teams in Morris and Sussex County this winter.
